Professional Information
Dr. Salman is a board-eligible Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon whose specialties include
orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery, complex dental and maxillofacial implants,
surgical management of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction and surgical management
of obstructive sleep apnea.
Dr. Salman is also an assistant professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UF-Health Jacksonville, were he trains the department’s residents.
He obtained his dental degree from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from the University of Kentucky. He holds memberships in both the National Dental Honor Society and the National Medical Honor Society. While at the University of Kentucky, Dr. Salman completed a six-year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with a heavy emphasis on orthognathic surgery.
Dr. Salman is passionate about providing medical and surgical care to those with limited
access to health care. He frequently travels to developing countries and underserved
regions to provide maxillofacial surgery to children in need.
