Facilities
The School of Orthodontics was founded in 2003. In January 2020, the program relocated
from its original location in the Lazarra Building to a brand new clinic in the Health
Sciences Complex. The School of Orthodontics is a modern-day facility with 43 chairs and the latest
technology and equipment. The School of Orthodontics provides an exceptional environment
for obtaining an evidence-based, contemporary orthodontic education. Students have
access to:
- Three Planmeca ProMax combined Panoramic / Cone Beam CT Units
- Planmeca 3D Facial Scanning
- iTero and 3Shape Intraoral 3D Scanners
- A material science testing laboratory
- Soft tissue lasers
- Multiple TAD implant systems
- Private operatories for each resident
- Electronic access to contemporary literature and a library of historic orthodontic periodicals
