Our Mission and Vision

Mission

It is the mission of Jacksonville University’s OTD program: To prepare our graduates as transformative, culturally competent, lifelong learners demonstrating excellence in leadership, ethics, practice and scholarship to promote full participation in meaningful occupations, health and wellness for individuals, groups and populations.

The OTD program aims to not only prepare students to become evidenced-based entry level therapists, but will also help students embark on pathways to specialization.

Vision

The OTD department’s vision is to be a local, regional, national, and international leader for excellence and innovation in entry-level doctoral occupational therapy education, practice, and scholarship.
