More than $3.7 million raised in less than a week. To some, the goal might seem ambitious, but for the Jacksonville University community, it’s second nature. Students, families, faculty, staff and alumni came together in a powerful wave of generosity during Dolphin Dash, Jacksonville University’s five-day giving challenge. The 2025 campaign’s impressive total came from more than 4,400 donors, providing funds to support the university’s future and expand its impact.
The campaign, which funds scholarships, academic programs, athletics and student initiatives, continues to unite the Dolphin family in a spirited show of support. This year, participation reached impressive heights, with contributions from all 50 states, demonstrating the far-reaching impact of JU’s community.
Dolphin Dash is more than a fundraiser — it’s a testament to the generosity and unwavering commitment of JU supporters, including alumni like John Crowley. Crowley, who received his EMBA from JU in 2007 and has supported the campaign in previous years, was eager to contribute once again, well aware of its potential to impact lives and careers.
“Jacksonville University and the EMBA program at Davis College made such a significant difference in my career and my life,” he said. “When I reflect on the quality of the people forged by Jacksonville University, I cannot think of a better investment of time and treasure. This world needs more JU graduates.”
Students also played an active role in this year’s campaign. Joslyn Prosek ’26, a junior and member of JU’s women’s soccer team, shared how valuable the campaign is to student-athletes.
“Dolphin Dash means a lot to us as students. When we get the donations, it goes toward our experience as soccer players and our away trips. With the funding we got last year from Dolphin Dash, we were able to get new goals and help our stadium look better. So the money does really go to our future here as athletes and as students.”
“Year after year, Dolphin Dash proves that when the JU community comes together, incredible things happen,” said Scott Bacon, senior vice president of External Affairs. “The generosity of our alumni, students, faculty, staff and supporters is truly inspiring. Their commitment ensures that Jacksonville University continues to provide transformative experiences, scholarships and opportunities for our students.”
Several colleges, teams and affinity groups were recognized for either landing the most donors or raising the most dollars, a reflection of the campus-wide passion for the university's future and the success of its student body.
Every dollar raised through Dolphin Dash directly enhances the student experience,
providing scholarships, funding research opportunities, and supporting essential campus
resources. As Dolphin Dash continues to grow each year, the spirit of giving at JU
remains stronger than ever. This year’s campaign has set a new standard for future
giving initiatives and helps ensure that JU’s legacy of excellence will continue for
years to come.
