Top 25 PosterEach year the Davis College of Business & Technology recognizes its most talented future business leaders with the prestigious list of Top 25 undergraduate, MBA, MSOL and MSABA graduate business students. Selected by a council of academic leadership and staff within the College, each student has earned his or her place in this elite group through outstanding academic performance, leadership, character and an unstoppable drive to succeed. The Davis College of Business & Technology Top 25 are excellent communicators and collaborators, who can solve complex problems, make sound decisions and take calculated risks based on real-time data and resources. Top 25 students frequently work in diverse teams to achieve a common goal or execute real-world projects that deliver results for major companies in Northeast Florida.

Bio: Graduate student David Abraham is known for his strong leadership capabilities, exemplary work ethic, and a solid history of excellence in organizational management. David will graduate with a Master of Business Administration and Management in Spring 2022, where he also serves as a graduate assistant. He received a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Jacksonville University in April 2019. During his undergraduate years, David was recognized as one of the top student leaders on campus with an unbelievable track record of student involvement, received some of the highest university honors and awards, while maintaining a high level of academic excellence. David is originally from Nigeria and is open to furthering his education up to the doctorate level while pursuing his passion for business and global problem-solving. David, among other things, is a passionate Christian believer and is committed to serving people.

Bio: A third-year senior majoring in International Business, Hailey Blachly is pursuing a degree in International Business. She plans to further her education at Jacksonville University where she will complete her MBA as well as a Master’s in Health Informatics. Hailey is a member of the Jacksonville University Women’s Lacrosse team and has held a position on the team’s leadership council each of her three years. Being a collegiate athlete has taught her how to conquer adversity, communicate effectively, and lead herself and others. She is a problem solver and enjoys being challenged. In the future, Hailey plans to start a career in event management or work on the business side of healthcare.

Bio: A second-year graduate student from Chesapeake, Virginia, Duncan Boone is pursuing a Master of Business Administration. After receiving an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon, Duncan spent the 2019 - 2020 NFL season as a digital/social design intern for the Kansas City Chiefs, creating content for the eventual Super Bowl Champions. In July of 2020, he accepted the role of Photography and Graphic Design Graduate Assistant with Jacksonville University Athletics. In this role, Duncan is heavily involved with every sports team and student-athletes on campus. Duncan's childhood living in a Navy family allowed him to travel the world, living in Naples, Italy, and Asan, Guam, instilling a passion for traveling and learning new cultures. After graduation, Duncan is moving to Durham, NC where he has accepted the position of Assistant Director of Creative for Duke University Football.

Bio: Christian Cornella-Carlson is a third-year student at Jacksonville University triple majoring in Sport Business, Finance, and Marketing. Long term, he aspires to become an NCAA Division I Athletic Director or work his way up in a professional sports organization. Christian is an avid sports enthusiast and keeps up to date within the industry. Upon graduation, Christian will return to JU where he will complete his MBA. During the summer months, Christian works as a youth baseball umpire while continuing his education. Most importantly, Christian would like to thank God, his parents, Tracey and Curt, and his three older sisters, Courtney, Kirsten, and Kaitlyn for their continued love and support throughout the years.

Bio: A senior in Business Management and an Executive MBA student from Visalia California, Richard Eide moved to Jacksonville after serving 24 years in the United States Navy. Rick has a technical background in mainframe computer and display systems, satellite communications, and various automated weapons systems. He also has many years of technical, program, and project management experience, but he really enjoys teaching and helping others succeed. He was formally trained as an instructor and is qualified as a Master Training Specialist. He has taught hundreds of people in the classroom and on the job in a variety of topics ranging from electronic equipment repair to team shipboard combat operations.

Bio: Anastasia Gibson is an enthusiastic senior passionate about traveling and exploring, which inspired her to study aviation. She is a Jamaican native who went to high school in Jamaica and traveled miles away from home to pursue her dream in Florida here at Jacksonville University. Her goal is to become a pilot or work in the corporate side of the airline industry. She spends her summers gaining experience through internships and remains involved on campus serving as the President of the Caribbean Student Association for three consecutive years, working as a Peer Advisor and Recreation & Wellness Student Assistant. Her roles on campus have helped tremendously with honing her leadership and communication skills. Attending JU as an international student has helped her to adapt to new environments which can be challenging, but she has remained dedicated to studying, working on campus, and being recognized as a Dean's List student for three continuous years. She loves to help the less fortunate and her hobbies include swimming, watching TV series, cooking, learning to play the piano, and riding motorcycles.

Bio: Theodore Gotthelf is a finance and international Business double major at Jacksonville University. Outside of the classroom, he rows competitively on the JU Men's Rowing Team, serves as treasurer of the JU Honors Program, is vice president of Phi Kappa Phi, works as an Ambassador of the Davis College of Business, and is a member of the Green Key Honor Society. Theodore also volunteers at the North Florida School of Special Education and is planning a fundraiser for Phi Kappa Phi. He enjoys playing chess, reading, and going on nature walks in his free time. Finally, Theodore is planning on working for a corporation once he graduates.

Bio: Ireland Johnson is currently a senior at Jacksonville University and plans to graduate with her bachelor’s this spring. She will attend Jacksonville University next year to finish her Master of Business Administration. She loves being a part of the Women’s Rowing team here at JU and making lots of memories with her teammates as they work to win the MAAC championship and go to NCAAs. She plans to use her Aviation Management degree to become a flight instructor in Jacksonville. She looks forward to the rest of her time here at Jacksonville University and hopes to make the most of what JU has to offer.

Bio: Hallie Kern is a junior at Jacksonville University. She is working towards a double major in Accounting and Business Analytics. After she graduates,

she plans to stay at JU to get a dual MBA and Masters in Applied Business Analytics to work towards becoming a CPA. Hallie is also a part of the Jacksonville University Women’s Softball Team. This experience has helped her grow in areas of teamwork, perseverance, and grit. When not in class or on the field, Hallie loves to spend time outdoors by hanging out by the beach or going hiking.

Bio: Kaitlyn Koenig is an Arizona native and is currently a third-year student at Jacksonville University. She is a senior majoring in Economics with a minor in Marketing. Kaitlyn was recruited to JU as a student-athlete and is currently one of the Co-Captains for the JU Varsity Shooting Team. She is also the elected Vice President of Finance for her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. Holding leadership positions throughout campus organizations allows her to better understand, motivate and inspire fellow students. Outside of academics and athletics, Kaitlyn likes to spend her time with friends, at the gym, or traveling around the country.

Bio: Alexandra Lilienfield is a junior majoring in Business Analytics with a minor in Marketing. After graduation, she plans on attending graduate school to develop a richer understanding of the field of Data Analytics. She intends to utilize her knowledge of various analytic tools and techniques to find significant insights and trends within big complex sales and marketing datasets. Bio: Kyle Magee is pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management. Kyle attended the University of North Florida where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology concentrating in Medical Laboratory Sciences. While attending the University of North Florida, Kyle founded the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and the Medical Laboratory Science Society on campus. After graduation, he went on to work for St. Vincent’s Healthcare as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and quickly transitioned to Mayo Clinic as a Medical Technologist II for the Department of Clinical Microbiology. There he went on to attain his academic appointment as an Instructor of Laboratory Medicine and additional academic appointments of Instructor and Professor respectively at FSCJ and Santa Fe College where he teaches classes in various disciplines of Laboratory Medicine. Kyle currently serves as the Education Specialist for the Department of Clinical Microbiology at Mayo Clinic Florida and has a passion for leadership, innovation, and education. Bio: Anthony Rich-Favara is a senior studying both International Business and Marketing. He is actively pursuing an MBA in the concentration of Management through the Grad2Grad program at Jacksonville University. In high school, he dual-enrolled full time at a local community college and obtained his Associate's degree with his diploma. Anthony’s passion is to promote fundraising for cancer awareness and alleviation. This derives from the loss of multiple family members from cancer at a very young age. Bio: Devin Root is currently a Master of Science in Applied Business Analytics candidate and will be graduating in the Spring of 2022. Bio: Mawgan Vater is a Senior from Hertfordshire, England. In her final year, Mawgan will complete her undergraduate degrees in International Business and Sport Business. Ever since she was young, Mawgan has had a passion for golf which led her to be a member of the Women’s Golf Team. As part of the golf team, Mawgan has learned how to manage her time between smashing drivers on the range and studying for the next exam. After volunteering for the Players Championship in 2018 Mawgan realized this is what she wanted a career in.
