Dr. Wenying Xu

To the JU community,

Dr. Wenying Xu has served admirably as our Provost/Chief Academic Officer for the past two years. Dr. Xu has asked to step away from her current responsibilities, effective June 30, to take a leave of absence for the balance of 2016 in order to give attention to family matters and to allow her to dedicate time to her scholarship and teaching.

Dr. Xu is a distinguished professional and we are grateful for the contributions she has made to this University. Please join me in thanking Dr. Xu for her service and dedication to helping create a premier liberal arts and sciences University.

In the coming weeks, after discussion with key leaders, we will be announcing an acting head of our Academic Affairs efforts.
