This week, 763 freshmen began classes at Jacksonville University following a week full of introductory events – starting with move-in day and culminating with the traditional Matriculation ceremony.
Again the University welcomed one of its largest incoming classes to date. The 763 first-time freshmen come to JU from 43 states across the country. Some are coming from closer to home, with 382 Florida residents and more than 150 from Duval County. Sixty international students arrived to campus as first-time freshmen.
The class of 2027 is another group of high-achievers, similar to those who came before them – 115 students are University Scholars, and 70 are honors students.
Below are photos from their matriculation ceremony as they officially began their journey at Jacksonville University.
