Application Process & Material Requirements
1. Apply online through the JU Application or the Common Application
- Freshman: You have never attended university before and this will be your first time.
- Transfer: You are or have attended univeristy, but have not graduated with a four-year degree.
- Second-Degree Student: You already have a Bachelor's Degree.

2. Upload all required materials
- High School/Secondary School Transcripts
- Can be unofficial for the review process., however, if you choose to attend JU, you must submit official transcripts. These must be sent by your school counselor to documents@ju.edu. If you email the transcripts, they will be considered unofficial.
- Proof of English Proficiency
Demonstrated English proficiency is required of all international students who come from a country where English is not spoken among the masses. Students may demonstrate proficiency by submitting one of the following:

Additionally, international applicants who demonstrate academic achievement through the completion of one of the following may have the English proficiency requirement waived, subject to review by the Office of Admissions:

- Completion of at least 24 semester credits at an accredited college or university in the US.
- Completion of English Composition or an equivalent course, with a grade of "C" or higher, at an accredited college or university in the US.

- Foreign Credit Evaluation (required for transfer and second-degree students only)
Applicants who are applying to Jacksonville University with college/university credits that were received outside of the United States will need to complete a course-by-course foreign credential evaluation. The college/university transcript will not be reviewed without this evaluation completed and an official copy must be sent by the organization that made it.

- SAT or ACT Scores (optional but can be used for English Proficiency)
- If submitting scores, score reports must be sent directly from the testing organizations.

3. Once the Office of Admissions has all your materials, please allow 3-4 weeks for your application to be reviewed and a decision rendered.
- You can check what materials are missing by logging back into your Application Portal, so please ensure you write down your login information after submitting!
- The review process cannot begin until all required documents are submitted.

Important Notes
- Documents received by Jacksonville University cannot be returned to you.
- You must enroll full-time each semester (full-time is considered 12 credits or more).
- All undergraduate persons are in-person on campus; we do not offer online undergraduate programs.
- Students holding F-2 visas cannot attend Jacksonville University on a full-time basis.
- All international students on F-1 or J-1 visas must provide a Financial Guarantee to show evidence of sufficient funds available for their students before their Form I-20 can be issued.Please review the university's cost of attendance (subject to change each year).
