Job Summary
The Lead Faculty in Graduate Nursing is an appointed faculty position. Responsibilities
include oversight for an AGACNP specialty track in the Master of Science in Nursing
(includes groundbased NP, online, and cohorts), or the Doctor of Nursing Practice
(DNP) program. The Lead Faculty assists the Graduate Director with course-scheduling,
faculty teaching assignments, program evaluation, and curriculum development. The
Lead Faculty works with the Directors to collect and analyze metrics for quality measures
and implement quality improvement measures as indicated. The Lead Faculty collaborates
with the Graduate Director to develop
strategic plans and thoughtful program growth with emphasis on quality. The graduate
lead faculty review the curriculum for adherence to published standards and competences
prior to the fall semester each year.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Support the Graduate Director on general graduate education policy and program enhancements
- Graduate student support and success initiatives
- Oversee progression options and requirements for re-entry and/or out of progression students to maximize academic success
- Collaborate with the Graduate Director to manage and monitor withdrawal and failure
rates for all MSN and DNP programs - Analyze metrics related to but not limited to:
- Applications, Enrollment, Attrition, Diversity, Graduation rates, Employment and
Budget - Recruit, Retain, and Evaluate quality adjunct faculty
- Applications, Enrollment, Attrition, Diversity, Graduation rates, Employment and
- With the Associate Dean of Nursing and Graduate Director, ensure all required documents and assessments are updated for CCNE reaccreditations for graduate nursing programs
- Provide input on full-time faculty annual evaluations related to teaching in graduate programs
- Evaluate and consistently seek improvement in graduate core and specialty nursing curricula
- Teaching will include graduate students in ground-based, online, and hybrid models
- Teaching also extends into the skills lab environment and clinical site visits
- Scholarship to include clinical practice, attendance at professional meetings and chairing of UG research and/or doctoral projects
- University service to include committee membership, special projects, community activities, mentoring, attendance and support for university events
- Other duties as deemed necessary

Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Experience
- Doctorate required. PhD in Nursing or DNP preferred
- Certification or expert level experience in the specialty track for which they have responsibility
- Minimum 2 years previous administrative/leadership experience, preferably in the academic setting
- Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida and/or eligible to obtain licensure
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and other business machines
- Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens
- Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone
