Position Summary
The Department of History, Political Science, and Economics at Jacksonville University invites applications for a tenure-track position in European, Middle Eastern, or Asian History, thematic and time period specializations open, at the rank of Assistant Professor. The teaching load is four courses per semester, including sections of introductory History survey courses in the Core Curriculum and specialized upper-division courses from the candidate’s areas of expertise. In addition to teaching responsibilities, successful candidates will mentor and advise History majors and supervise undergraduate experiential learning opportunities, such as internships, study abroad, and research projects.

- Ph.D. in History by the time of appointment in August 2022

- Strong commitment to effective undergraduate teaching, scholarship, and University service
