Job Summary

Full-time position reporting to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Responsible for player
personnel. Responsible for directing, managing, leading, organizing and executing women’s
Basketball activities related to team, office and staff operations. Supervise personnel responsible
for supporting the women’s basketball team at home and away games, including Assistant
Coaches. Also applies to practices and other scheduled events. Plans, organizes and directs
basketball camps and coaching clinics, to include scheduling and facilities management.

  • Graduate Assistants, Managers, Interns assigned to basketball operations

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Budget Management – forecasting, managing and tracking of all expenses throughout the year
  • Team Travel - Plans, Coordinates and Manages all Team Travel, including but not limited to, flights, buses, meals, TSA Pre-Check Appointments, communication with opposing teams, tickets, practice times, uniforms, itineraries and schedules.
  • Monthly Parent Email – reviewing the previous month and updates
  • Equipment (alongside an Assistant Coach) – ordering and inventory management
  • Compliance Liaison – including but not limited to; off-campus recruiting itineraries, onboarding student athletes, COA and Pell Grant tracking, Jump Forward platform and, keeping in constant communication with the Associate Athletic Director of Compliance.
  • Facilities Liaison – including but not limited coordinating with other sports on campus, advocating for equal gym space, facility upgrades, required maintenance and communication with Assistant Athletic Director of Events and Facilities.
  • Weekly Schedule – coordinating with other sports, strength and conditioning, the athletic training team and basketball staff on a weekly schedule then inputting the schedule into Teamwork’s.
  • Home Game Pass List – ensuring all coaches have inputted their pass lists into jump forward and reminding student athletes of the dates they need to input their passes. Coordinating with Assistant Athletic Director of External Operations on pass lists.
  • Away Tickets – coordinating with opposing team on pass list requirements and submitting requests on time.
  • Game Day Logistics - Coordinate shoot around times with opposing teams at home
    and on the road. Comminate with Facilities Department on Game Day logistics.
  • Cash Advances - Place cash advances for all away trips and any per diem amounts needed throughout the year.
  • Expense Reports – conducting expense reports for the DOBO purchase card (p-card) and Head Coach P-Card then approving assistant coaches p-card reports
  • Camps - Manage camp registration and logistics with assigned Assistant Coach
  • Alumni – Coordinate basketball alumni functions and manage alumni engagement year-round
  • Fundraising – Strategize, Coordinate and Execute fundraising ideas, including taking the lead of Jacksonville University’s annual dolphin dash
  • Oversee all on campus projects - marketing, Phin Fever, etc.
  • Community Engagement - Coordinate requests for community and regional involvement such as appearances, speeches, lectures and committees
  • Manage Partnerships – manage annual partnerships with LMNT, Lululemon and Nike.
  • Recruitment– manage all recruitment travel, including recruit and coaches travel plans and create on-campus recruitment itineraries
  • Manage Admin Access – to all platforms, including but not limited to, Teamworks, Teamworks Camps, Adobe, Zoom, Synergy, Fast Scout/Fast Recruit, Chrome River, etc.
  • Remain compliant with the University, NCAA, and ASUN

Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Experience

  • Minimum Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree, 2 years of working experience in
    Athletics Administration
  • Preferred Qualifications: Women’s Basketball experience (administratively)
