Job Summary
This position’s primary responsibility will be to produce creative content for Jacksonville Athletics social media, web content and help shape the creative direction of the department. One of two Assistant Directors of Creative Services, each with a specific specialization of skills. This position would feature graphic design, with an expectation to also provide photography and potentially creative video as well.

Duties/Responsibilities

Produce creative content through graphic design and sports photography for the athletic department

Work in tandem with the other Assistant Director of Creative Services

Heavily involved in strategic planning of all creative content

Help lead weekly meetings with Creative Services team to plan and execute creative content for the department

Help oversee two Creative Services Assistants and a team of Student Creative Interns and educate them to facilitate growth in the creative space

Utilize, catalog and maintain equipment used for creative purposes

Develop relationships and pursue stories with external constituents

Work hand-in-hand with coaching staffs to craft creative direction and shape brand recognition

Serve as the point of contact for all communications related aspects of hosting or attending NCAA postseason events participated in by assigned teams

Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Working knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, Audition, After Effects)
- Emphasis on organizational ability to be able to multitask with several projects going at one time
- Strong collaborative mindset, to work closely with the other Assistant Director of Creative Services and the entire Communications team
- Expectation to work with all 17 sports on campus
Education, Certificates, Licenses, & Experience
- Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree
- One year of work in an athletic department creative team or comparable experience
- Years’ experience in a sports information field preferred
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Same as above
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions
- Must be able to physically perform essential job duties or have special accommodations arranged in advance
- Nights and weekends are required
