Position Summary

Primary job responsibilities will be the design, implementation, and scheduling of strength and conditioning programs for 4-5 sports as assigned by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Primary responsibilities also include assisting the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in all aspects of Division I Strength and Conditioning program including, but not limited to, teaching student athletes how to perform Weight Lifting and Conditioning. In addition, this position will assist with the daily operation and maintenance of strength and conditioning facilities and other duties as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Must be proficient in Olympic and strength training movements, exercise selection and programming, speed mechanics, agility drills, and nutrition. The ability to communicate and develop a working relationship with sport coaches, athletic trainers, and student-athletes is imperative. Support other strength staff members as assigned. Travel optional.

Prerequisites Required for Position

Minimum Requirement

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in related field and 1-2 years of relevant experience. SCCC or CSCS certification. Knowledge of NCAA rules / regulations and CPR-AED certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in related field strongly preferred.
