Summer Cyber Practicum ProgramThe Summer Program in Cyber at Jacksonville University

It is a 5-day long Program that introduces students to the world of cybersecurity.

National Centers of Academic Excellence SealIn order to fulfill the required internship/work experience hours in the Computer Science and Information Technology Career Academies offered through the Saint John's County School District, 16 students per week will be offered the opportunity to participate in an intensive hands-on training experience using Cloud Range labs and simulations. Dr. Mini Zeng, Director of the Center of Cybersecurity, CISSP Certified designed this summer practicum program specifically for the St. John’s County School District. Throughout the 5 day experience (9am-3:30pm), high school juniors and seniors will be exposed to industry leaders and have access to the level of training provided to industry experts.

Summer Cyber Practicum ProgramWhat will you learn?

By participating in the summer program, students will:

  • Have access to the entire Skill Pack of Cloud Range Labs.
  • Be guided through a curriculum where they can access labs and practice their skills.
  • Being to work up to a live cyber attack mitigation training scenario. Scenarios are the real-life simulated training experiences used by professionals in the industry.
  • Be exposed to daily activities to maintain cybersecurity and technology interests and enhance learning.
  • Earn certificate of participation from Jacksonville University for practicum hours completed.
