Practical, Focused Education for Professional Aviators, Aviation Managers and Air Traffic Controllers
The School of Aviation offers something you won't find in many other aviation programs - a business core that's sure to bring you career success. Graduates of JU's two degree programs - in Aviation Management (AVM) or Aviation Management and Flight Operations (AVO) - are also graduates of the Davis College of Business & Technology. Whether you plan an aviation career in the skies as a pilot or on the ground as a manager or air traffic controller, a degree from Jacksonville University will give you the aviation and business skills that savvy employers are looking for.
Jacksonville University is now one of the universities whose graduates can qualify for a Restricted-Airline Transport Pilot (R-ATP) certificate with 1,000 flight hours. Pilots who graduate from non-approved universities and want to be employed as a First Officer for an airline must have 1,500 hours of flight time.
