Institutional Scholarships

Experiential Learning for Life Scholarship

The Experiential Learning (EL) office is offering ten scholarships to support Experiential Learning in the following areas: Study Abroad/Away, Undergraduate Research and Internships. Scholarships are intended to foster post-graduate preparation for traditional undergraduate students pursuing their Experiential Learning Options Learn more here. Application deadline is February 15, 2016.

  • New students: When you apply for admission as a freshman at Jacksonville University, you will automatically be screened for an academic scholarship or grant ranging in value from $2,500 to $22,500 per year.
  • Continuing students: You may apply for selected scholarships using the common application form located here:  Scholarship application

NFFRFA Doug Milne Scholarship

Scholarship Fun plans to award scholarshps worth from $1,000 to $2,000 to deserving students. Applicants must be sincere in their goals an ability to be involved in the Associations community activities. Students in pursuant of a degree in the Food Industry, Nutrition, Marketing, Business and Public Relations are welcome. Awarding one $3000 and three $1000 scholarships. Competition consists of an essay contest where the theme changes each year.  This year students can share their ideas on The Affordable Care Act (Obamacar​e). See the website for full details.

Influence Print Scholarship

Amount: $1,000. Available to High School Seniors or Undergraduate college students with an interest in Graphics/Digital Design. Although there is not an essay, the student will be judged on their graphic and digital design. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen. See the website for more details.

Reeves Law Group Scholarship Contest

Amount: $1000. The contest is open to both high school seniors who are looking to enter college at the start of the next school year, as well as students currently enrolled in a college or university. We want to hear about a time that you stood up for someone who could not stand up for himself or herself, and how that experience has impacted your life and the lives of the person or persons you may have helped. American Bullion Financial Education Scholarship

Offered to current high school and college students. Five (5) $500 Scholarships Awarded Annually. Essay question: "Why is gold a good investment for future generations?" Winning submissions are selected by a team of executives at American Bullion.

  • Scholarship essay must be a minimum of 500 words, maximum of 2,000 words.
  • Applicant must be currently enrolled at an accredited high school, college, or university within the United States.
  • Applicant must be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa.
  • One submission per person, per year.

Karin Riley Porter Attorney at Law Good Works Scholarship

This scholarship program is open to all undergraduate, graduate, and law school students, as well as incoming college freshmen. You must submit a 500 word letter of intent identifying yourself and describing your drive and dedication to criminal justice issues. The candidate must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. See website to apply.

Boling Rice, LLC

Our attorneys understand the value of education as well as the often significant costs associated with obtaining one. We value helping people who show promise and initiative, and for this purpose are pleased to be offering a $1,000 yearly scholarship to help students meet their financial needs.The application process entails writing and submitting a 500+ word essay. The Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest

Will require students to raise awareness about the problem of underage drinking and driving among their peers. The contest requires you to create a public service advertisement video (PSA) which raises awareness of the severity of the consequences of drunk driving among your peers. The winner of this scholarship will receive $1,000 to put towards higher education. We want to see how creative and convincing you can be with your video. Make sure it is geared towards your peers. Videos can be technical, narrative, documentary, fiction or any other video style you can think of. Complete details on the website.

12 Keys Rehab

Submit an essay for a chance at a $500 college scholarship. This scholarship will be available to any U.S. resident who will be enrolling in college courses in their next semester. This is open to all majors of study. Write an essay between 700 and 1000 words on one of the following subjects:

  • How staying away from alcohol and drugs has had a positive effect on your life
  • How to avoid peer pressure to drink/use drugs
  • Your personal story of resilience and recovery from a drug or alcohol problem
  • Why living a sober life is important to you
  • Creative alternatives to having alcohol/drugs at parties
  • How abstaining from alcohol/drugs relates to your field of study (get creative!)

U.S. Army Health Professions Scholarship Program

When you're pursuing an advanced health care degree, the last thing on your mind should be how you're going to pay for it. The U.S. Army can help with one of the most comprehensive scholarships available in the health care field — The F. Edward Hébert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program. Qualifying students receive full tuition for any accredited medical, dental, veterinary, psychology or optometry program, plus a generous monthly stipend of more than $2,000. Qualifying medical and dental students are also eligible to receive a $20,000 sign-on bonus. Your active duty service obligation to the U.S. Army is one year of service for every year you receive the scholarship.

You must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen with a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school
  • Be enrolled in (or have a letter or acceptance from) an accredited graduate program in the U.S. or Puerto Rico (varies by specialty)
  • Maintain full-time student status during the length of the program
  • Qualify as a commissioned officer

Tony Munter Whistleblower Attorney Transparency Scholarship

This is an opportunity for students who believe that transparency and accountability are critical virtues in either the private or the public sector. This is a general one-time $500 scholarship for incoming freshman and all undergraduate, community college, and law school students. Eligibility criteria include a 750-word essay on the importance of transparency and accountability in the student's current, desired, or future career. ​Kush Arora Criminal Justice Reform Scholarship

The Kush Arora Criminal Justice Reform Scholarship is a great opportunity for students with an interest in criminal justice reform. This is a general one-time $500 scholarship for incoming college freshman and all undergraduate, community college, and graduate students. Florida Sea Grant

Florida Sea Grant offers a wide range of scholarship and fellowship opportunities for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students. The Aylesworth Scholarship, for example, will pay a student up to $10K per year for the duration of their degree program and is open to any FL university student working in a marine related field. Share your moving stories for a chance to win $500 scholarship from Movers Corp! Whether you had a smooth, difficult or even funny moving experience, they’d like to hear from you. The main purpose of this scholarship is to help other students to avoid obstacles when relocating to a new residence.

One $500 scholarship will be awarded each semester; totaling 2 scholarships over the school year.

The winners will be selected based on overall writing ability and the evaluation of tip/advice for students that are planning to move. The minimum requirement is that your story should include at minimum 500 words but not more than 800 words.

Here is what we’d like you to cover in your story:

Company Corporation Business Plan Contest

The prize is $1,000 and is awarded four times per year. The scholarship is geared at young entrepreneurs and business majors but is open to students in any field at both the undergraduate or graduate level.
