The typical course sequence for full time JU MPP students is:

First semester (12 credits)
  1. PPOL 501 – Microeconomics for  Public Policy  
  2. PPOL 511 - Political Institutions, Processes and Public Policy 
  3. PPOL 512 - Ethics and Public Policy 
  4. PPOL 521 – Statistics and Research Methods in Public Policy    
Second semester (10 credits)
  1. PPOL 502  – Public Finance 
  2. PPOL 513 – Law and Public Policy                                                                                                                                 
  3. PPOL 531. Quantitative Methods and Analysis or PPOL 530/ DSIM (BUS). 530. Analytical Methods for Decision-Making
  4. PPOL 550/MGT 550. Leading Organizations 
 
JU PPI Summer Internship – PPOL 590 (2)
 
Third semester (12 credits)
  1. PPOL 541 - Public Policy Analysis 
  2. Capstone Policy Project I (3): PPOL 695-696 or PPOL 697-698​
  3. PPOL Management Course - Course to be taken in fall or spring semester of second year or PPOL Elective – Law school course. Course to be taken in fall or spring semester of second year.  
  4. PPOL Elective 
Fourth semester (12 credits)
  1. Capstone Policy Project II : PPOL 695-696 or PPOL 697-698 
  2. PPOL Management Course – If management course not taken in fall semester or
  3. PPOL Elective - Law school course. If course not taken in fall semester of second year.
