College of Health Sciences
The vision of College of Health Sciences at Jacksonville University is: To be the region's premier provider of leading-edge health sciences education, with a commitment to preparing health professionals for careers defined by excellence in practice, community service and lifelong professional development.
The mission of Jacksonville University's College of Health Sciences is to offer visionary expansion to the health professional programs that will prepare future practitioners to address the challenges and complexities of healthcare delivery.
The College of Health Sciences has developed a forward thinking plan to address the surging health sciences educational needs of our community and region. With new funding for faculty, resources, and space, the overall ground based enrollment is projected to nearly double to more than 600 students by the year 2016. Meanwhile, the online enrollment is expected to jump 32 percent to approximately 1,400 students.
With the expected burst of demand in the need for health care, our plan is designed to meet our growth needs. A linchpin to that is the ASPIRE Campaign’s $20 million in funding to include a new 30,000-square-foot College of Health Sciences with dedicated classrooms, faculty and staff offices, meeting rooms, a multidisciplinary, state-of-the-art simulation learning center, and a computer laboratory.
