ASPIRE: The Campaign for JU 2016 is about so much more than traveling in the here and now. It’s about eyeing the great beyond to achieve the imaginings of the future.
With a solid financial footing under JU President Kerry Romesburg’s leadership, we’ve latched on to what’s in front of us, launching an $85 million fund-raising initiative, the biggest in our history.
ASPIRE seeks to build on the successes of the past 78 years that have brought us to this moment: From humble beginnings, enrollment is now above 3,700 students, majors are offered in more than 70 areas, signature programs are attracting nationwide notice and award-winning faculty are preparing the next generation of leaders.
A 13 to 1 student-faculty ratio, esteemed academics and committed instructors are just some of the reasons U.S. News & World Report repeatedly recognizes JU as one of “America’s Best Colleges” of Southern regional universities.
But we can’t rest. To flourish and take advantage of our newfound stability and longtime stellar academic reputation, we must keep growing. It’s the only way to stay competitive, have a chance to carry on the tradition of greatness begun in 1934 and aspire to become one of the best small universities in the country.
